Merit Badge Counselors

Information About Merit Badge Counseling

Merit badge counselors are the key to success in the merit badge plan. They offer their time, experience, and knowledge to help guide Scouts in one or more of the merit badge subjects. Please note: Unit leaders (Scoutmasters/Assistant Scoutmasters) are not automatically approved to serve as Merit Badge Counselors. Scouts desiring to work with a Merit Badge Counselor should read the Introduction to Merit Badges to understand your rights and responsiblities. Adult volunteers who would like to serve or are currently serving as a Merit Badge Counselor should click on the "more" button below for a list of helpful resources.
